Pageant Hair & Makeup

PAGEANT CONTRACT AGREEMENT

It is hereby agreed by and between your hair and makeup artist, hereinafter referred to as “Artist,” and contestant , hereinafter referred to as “Contestant,” as follows:

Contestant hereby requests and agrees to retain the Artist to appear and perform  services as specified below.

• Appointments will be scheduled and distributed the week of the pageant as arranged by the Artist. 

• Contestant agrees to be PROMPT to all hair & makeup appointments otherwise forfeit her scheduled appointment time. 

• Contestant agrees to make the following payments and be bound by the following terms and conditions:

• Contestant agrees to pay the Artist the agreed amount fee as stated on the official 2024 /2025 Makeup & Hair Package Pricing.

1. Payment of the total sum shall be payable upon execution of this agreement and shall be nonrefundable. Artists shall have the option to void agreement if the deposit and signed agreement is not received before another deposit and signed agreement on the same event date.

2. Deadline for the non-refundable deposit is DUE at least 20 days before your pageant.

3. In the event the artist receives written notice from the Contestant no less than thirty (30) days prior to the event date that the artist’s services will not be required by the Contestant, then the Contestant shall only be liable for 50% of the contracted price. If prior notice is not given at least 15 days in advance 100% of the contracted price is due.

4. Contestant agrees, if the artist is required to travel or required to pay hair/makeup fees to be on premises, fees will be covered by the contestant. 

5. All travel arrangements must be paid for by the contestant.

6. Contestant hereby agrees to indemnify the artist, her personnel for any loss or damage to the Contestant, their personnel, property and equipment at the event site.

7. The artist shall not be liable for omissions or failure to perform their obligation, when such is through accident, illness or caused by events such as death or illness of a family member, unsafe weather conditions, or events that may be reasonably deemed beyond the control of the artist. 

8. If the artist should materially or physically be incapacitated from performing their service for any reason, the artist shall have the option to void this contract.

9. No warranties are made by the artist. The artist shall not be liable for direct and/or consequential damages arising out of the performance of services under this agreement.

10. Before and after photos may be taken of you at the pageant to use in the artist portfolio. Also, your name may be used in advertising and promotional forms if you are selected as one of the semifinalists, finalists, and/or winner of the pageant.

11. You may or may not be working with Chari Monet exclusively. By signing, the client agrees to work with any Monet’s Haus team member according to your assigned schedule. 

12. Unless otherwise discussed prior to the event, clients automatically agree to the color choices and styles selected by the artist on the day of the event.

13. Hair & Makeup Change Fee: $50 per day. (includes optional and look changes) If the contestant would like to come back during the day.

14. There is NO guarantee that single service appointments will be available.  Hair Only or Makeup Only is available and booked on a first come, first-serve basis.
